How does testing work?
During your first visit, your clinician will review your health goals and discuss recommended testing options. This may include:
- Standard or advanced bloodwork
- At-home advanced specialty testing
- Or a combination of both, depending on your individual needs
We recommend completing bloodwork at least 3+ weeks before your follow-up visit to ensure results are available for review.
Bloodwork
For bloodwork, we recommend going to a lab that is in-network with your insurance (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, or BioReference). If you do not have insurance or have a high-deductible plan, we also have cash-pay options available for members in specific states.
Specialty testing
For specialty tests, we’ll ship a test kit directly to you with clear collection instructions. These tests often involve stool, urine, or saliva samples, and in some cases, advanced bloodwork. Many specialty tests can be completed at home, while others require a blood draw performed by a phlebotomist.
