Is testing included in my membership fee?
The cost of testing is not included in your membership fee. All testing is optional, and any costs are your responsibility. Your Care Team will work closely with you to review testing options and your financial comfort, so you only move forward with the tests you choose.
At Parsley, your specialty testing options go beyond routine blood work to give a more complete picture of your whole-body health. In addition to comprehensive blood tests, you may access specialty testing for things like:
- Gut health
- Genetics
- Allergies
- Cortisol and stress response
- Toxic metal levels
These tests may involve blood, saliva, urine, or stool samples.
Insurance and payment
Depending on your insurance plan, you may receive partial or full coverage for blood work or specialty tests. Many members also use their FSA/HSA benefits to help with costs.
Because Parsley orders very comprehensive testing that often costs more than routine annual blood work, we strongly recommend confirming coverage directly with your insurance company before completing any tests.
Helpful questions to ask your insurance provider
- What percentage of in-network diagnostic laboratory services are covered?
- I’m working with an out-of-network provider—do I have out-of-network lab coverage?
- What is my preferred in-network lab provider? (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, or BioReference)
- What is my current deductible status?
- What coverage can I expect for the following tests? (Your medical team can provide a CPT document for your order, including CPT and ICD-10 codes. This document will be uploaded to your My Parsley Health portal under “Medical Record” upon request.)
