How should I prepare for my lab visit for my Longevity Labs plan?
The first step in preparing for your lab visit is to schedule your lab draw with Quest, which you can do directly in your MyParsley portal. While Quest does accept walk-ins, we strongly recommend scheduling ahead to reduce wait time and help you get in and out more quickly.
Here are all the detailed instructions for a successful visit. You can also review them in detail at https://www.parsleyhealth.com/lab-prep.
If you menstruate,
- Schedule for about 7 days before your next period will start.
- If using birth control, go on day 3-5 of bleeding.
- If taking continuous birth control with no bleeding and no placebo pills, scheduling anytime is fine.
72 Hours Before:
- Stop taking all supplements. Some components could skew results.
48 Hours Before:
- Avoid seafood, due to mercury testing
8 Hours Before:
- Begin fasting (no food or drinks, including black coffee)
- Only water is allowed
- Eat a light, healthy meal before you begin fasting
Going to the lab:
- Bring a copy of your lab request (printed or digital) and photo ID.
- Do not give your insurance information or pay. We've taken care of that.
If you live in NY and NJ, your labs cost is split up due to state regulations.
- When you go to Quest to get your first blood draw, you will pay an initial fee of approximately $275.
- When you go to Quest for your follow-up blood draw, you will pay approximately $135.
